Happy Friday friends!
Is it just me or do these weeks just keep getting faster and faster? We’ve had a good week here in our little corner of the world. It’s been a bit stressful and relationship (or lack of) frustrations have got the better of me at times… and Bo’s sleeping has been shocking… but all in all, it’s been good. A few beautiful new work prospects, some amazing new sponsors for Inked (and some more on the way). Things are looking up.
Bo is talking more and more. She has “no” down, of course. Bo would you like to go to bed? No. Bo would you like to sit down in the bath? No. Bo would you like to eat your dinner? No. Can you please stop touching the computer Bo. No.
But on the upside she also says yes (well, more like yeah, in a very Australian drawl)… but that’s mostly just when I’m babbling to her about things. She likes to look up at me and say, yeah… It’s nice to be listened to (at least some of the time!). She’s also become very helpful. Loading clothes into the washing machine. Handing me clothes at the line out the back. Putting remote controls in the bin… washing the floor (sometimes with yoghurt)… The joy with which she embraces other people, other children, new situations, new ideas and places is inspiring. She is a pleasure, albeit an extraordinarily messy one.
How was your week?
Have a most beautiful weekend, we are heading to the city to spend some time with my family, visit with my sisters and go to a rally and an awesome concert. Have a bit of a dance with my beautiful baby and my gorgeous sisters and their kids. Enjoy the spectacular Australian sunshine and remember all the good in the now.
P.S. The winner of the Truly Sanctuary give away is AMANDA! Congrats Amanda! The Truly Sanctuary team will get in touch with you soon (if they haven’t already) to organise your awesome new gear.
