This week feels like a life time. There have been hard goodbyes and heartbreaking realisations. There have been crazy holidays and calm before the storm moments. There has been flights and airports and transitions and meetings and love… and tears. And then more love.
The first part of the week was the end of our trip to Queensland. Goodbyes to friends and beautiful weather and amazing places and long beaches and longer days. Goodbyes that should never had been goodbyes. It was a hard few days but it was also glorious. So much laughter with an underbelly of sadness.
Then we let it go. And we moved on to our next destination. To more new faces and to some old, glorious, special friends too.
We are sitting in the beautiful city of Melbourne. My ultimate home-town. My favourite city in the world. The one that calls to me, from wherever I am in the world. The one that begs me to return. I love it here. The light. The love. The culture. The skinny black jeans and the pretentious coffee orders. The grungy cafes and the themed bars. The university life. The boutiques and the art galleries and the culture and the life… the glorious life. Maybe Bo and I will end up back here one day. I’d like that. I think she would too.

I hope you all have a weekend filled with joy and laughter and love and love, love, love. I’m going to be surrounded by friends. Some old, some new, with my beautiful daughter in my favourite city in the world… And that, well, that sounds pretty great to me.
