Taking Stock

feetPIN ITI’ve been floating around a bit recently, so many new projects and ideas, inspired and creative people around me… it’s easy to get totally overwhelmed. It does me a world of good to slow down for a minute, and check in with where I am, right now and just take stock. Have you done that lately?

Making : ends meet.
Cooking : summer salads and sweet treats
Drinking : my weight in chamomile tea
Reading: Maya Angelou
Wanting: a wayward adventure.
Looking: forward.
Playing: Oasis.
Wasting: as little as possible.
Sewing: absolutely nothing…
Wishing: for a year with bumps in all the right places.
Enjoying: this beautiful collaboration.
Waiting: for logo inspiration
Liking: this idea, these pictures, this project.
Wondering: how I’m going to juggle it all for the next six months.
Loving: mangoes, food swaps and new organic farms.
Hoping: to get a spot in a permaculture workshop
Marvelling: at this lovely idea. It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately… honesty.
Needing: milk. We’ve run out and I don’t get to the shops much these days.
Smelling: a bit like curry at the moment…
Wearing: pajamas
Following: my final semester of my masters outline, and feeling totally overwhelmed
Noticing: my thoughts changing with this project.
Knowing: we have a long way to go.
Thinking: about shadows
Feeling: a bit chuffed with this pretty new site.
Bookmarking: DIY body products (I’m quickly running out)
Opening: my heart to options… slowly.
Giggling: with my little.
Feeling: endlessly curious.

I remember reading this post little Taking Stock post of Pip’s over at Meet me at Mikes back in August… and then I did one myself at the end of last year. I thought it was high time we did it agian… Have you taken the time to take stock of your own life recently? It’s a fun little exercise that really helps you remember where you are, right now.

Have you visited Pip recently over at Meet me at Mikes? She’s always got something great going on…

Hanna Wolf - I have recently been taking stock on a lot of things- mainly my time, how I mother my son and how I can split myself between our two needs. Its really difficult and I have many choices to make (many that I am struggling with) but I love visiting this space and reading your words. They have a massive calming effect on me. There is someone out there who gets it. I mean really gets it. You are brilliant Sash.ReplyCancel
