Chalk and a blank cracked canvas with a spectacular view. Concrete and an old friend. Old history, tales of past lives and shared stories mix with the new lives we have created since then.
Little boots and cool morning air. Coloured dust, tiny fingers and wild, wayward grins.
Simple play. Simple joy.

Julie - Jarvis loves to draw, but always ends up eating the chalk. Any hints on how to stop this?
Sash - Hey Julie. Bo still likes to chew on the chalk sometimes too… there is often tell tale dust around her mouth. I just try to distract or divert her attention instead of making a big deal out of it. She is slowly getting better at not putting everything in her mouth, just make sure the chalk is non-toxic obviously. (LOVE the name Jarvis BTW!!)
Desiree - I can not wait till it is nice enough here to do this. We are still under some snow, and nice days seem to be taking their time coming our way. We have a brand new box of sidewalk chalk and a huge driveway waiting to be decorated! Great post and pictures!
Sash - Thanks Desiree! So much fun! (though I can’t help but be a little envious of your snow!)
