Winter warmers (SPONSOR & GIVEAWAY)

PIN ITWinter is here, and with it come cool days, and cold, damp nights. After so many years living in tropical Indonesia, I’m really feeling the cold this year. I love the crisp cold air and the warmth of the midday sun on the back of our neck as we run around the park. Both Bo and I are conditioned for a tropical climate and we both feel the cold down to our bones. Woolen blankets and socks have become essential elements to our every day and soft flannelette sheets are fitted snugly over our beds, helping keep sleep sound and even the most bitter of nights feel warm.

When I received an email from Sonia at Berth, asking if I would like her to send me some of her beautiful handmade woolens for winter, I was quick to reply. Beautiful handmade scarves for Bo and I came in the post a few weeks later, all the way from Portugal. Little lovelies that have become essential items on all of our winter adventures. Soft, gentle wool in bright, happy colours, beautifully made with all of the character and charm of something that a good friend knitted with love. They wash beautifully too, which is important when you have little ones. We had a bit of a chai tea disaster on one of the scarves and it came up like new after a gentle wash… I was quite relieved.

PIN IT PIN IT PIN ITSonia is the artist behind Berth Handmade, and her shop is filled with the most beautiful little creations. From adult scarves and scarves that button up at the front to keep your little one perfectly snug this winter to gorgeous little accessories for kids and their bedrooms.
