Another week has come and gone. It seems unbelievable really that time goes so fast.
It’s been a week of ups and downs, which I suppose is to be expected these days. Inked was featured over on Bettina’s lovely blog Little Old Souls, where she interviewed me about my blogging life. Then we had last weekends post on my search for bliss featured on Kidspot’s Blog in the Spotlight, which was great. I was very lucky to have been welcomed to contribute and stand amongst some of my most respected Aussie bloggers.
This week Bo and I have been just adapting and creating our some what make-shift world home (for now). I am becoming more and more accepting of the trials and challenges that come with being a single parent, trying hard to stop waiting for life to change and start living more in the NOW. Trying to find time to let a bit of creativity out, finding myself more and more amongst the fabric aisles of our local craft store, trying to find time for me in a world where I no longer have any time for me. We received an amazing art print from Sarah over at Sarah Illustrator (see a pic in this weeks pics below) so I’m feeling super loved and supported and warm and fuzzy.
Things on the relationship front are less so. Trying is hard. Trying to give chances and make change when the person you are trying for doesn’t seem to be listening. Repeating myself over and over again until I’m so sick of the sound of my own voice but it keeps going on inside my head. It’s hard to find balance. It’s hard to make choices. It’s all hard.So I’m just trying to breathe through it… trying not to let it get to me… Trying not to break things. You know. The usual.
Your response to Wednesday’s post on Motherhood was amazing. Thank you. Every single one of you who commented and emailed and thanked me. As honoured as I am to have all the lovely things said about my writing and my views and me putting-it-out-there I don’t think it’s me that should be being thanked. So, Thank YOU for all being so honest here and for making this space so supportive and wonderful and beautiful and for giving your spirit and your stories and your love to each and every one of us. It’s becoming such a special place, Inked, and that’s all on YOU guys. So thank you.
This week, in pictures:
I’ve been getting very Instagram-happy this week. It’s been lovely to get regular pictures from my favourite bloggers and friends and discovering new friends and having so many of you jump on board and check out our life. If you haven’t yet, come and find as at @inkedincolour… and link me up and show me your photos!
Also the TBB chart was reset this week. If you feel like voting, you can follow this link. I’d appreciate it. And the link is always over there somewhere ———-> You can vote once a day.
I hope this week has been a beautiful one for you and yours. That you have found peace and laughter and love even amongst the hard and the trying and the challenges. And aren’t there challenges! Have a weekend full of colour and light… I know we will.
If you haven’t yet, check out the awesome give-away from Little Chicks, The Little Man we have on right now. A beautiful mama/grandma making beautiful clothes for beautiful little people.
