An old sanded and finished pallet for a bed/A unloved playpen for a wardrobe/Recycled and repurposed furniture, restained, repainted and given new life/ An old discarded rocking horse, a christmas favourite/ Gumboots by the door/ Bunting made from vintage fabric found at the bottom of a jumble sale pile long ago/Toys knitted and gifted and made by family with love…
Paintings from travels and wooden sculptures from homelands I want Bo to remember.
This is the home that we have created in the past six months. Together, Bo and I. We started with nothing but a few boxes full of old memories and hand me downs. What we’ve created is a space that I’m proud of. I made it my mission to spend as little money as possible and invested lots of my time into taking trash and turning it into beautiful rooms that are warm and happy and full of love. To create a home. To create a place for us to belong. Until we decide where we go next… Until the call of the open road becomes too strong.

Tomorrow I am going to launch the other project I have eluded to a few times in the past few weeks. A project that I have spent many a late night whittling away on, and a project that is very dear to my heart. It is a new blog, a lovely addition to the Inked space that brings together some wonderful bloggers doing some fabulous things. A project that aims to bring equal parts community and inspiration. I can’t wait to show it you…

Alicia - I like it very much. It’s beautiful.
Bec | Bloggers Bazaar - What a gorgeous room. Love that bed, have never seen a kids pallet bed. Beautiful sentimental space 😉
Inga - I love the playpen turned wardrobe, so clever and it looks great!
Julie - A room of love and personality!
Andrea - looking forward to the new project, love the room….Trouble has the same monkey walking/running/clacking toy. He loves it.
Rachel - Oh such a lovely space that lends itself to growing with Bo. I love the use of the play pen!!! I think one of the most fabulous things about living in an older style house is the blank canvas rooms.
Dominique - love. you have done such a wonderful job of repurposing, and it is such a wonderful skill to teach your daughter.
Mother Down Under - It is a beautiful room…and has such a happy feeling about it.
ashley - inspired for what i can do with the playpen we didn’t use for our littlest and have sitting. it was going to be a trellis for my plants but clothes rack is much more useful! x ashley
Sam - Oh I just love this space and the ethos from which you’ve created it. And how clever is the wardrobe! Very inspiring. xx
