mixtape friday

Do you remember making mixtape for your friends in late primary school – early high school? I used to start mix tapes by talking into the tape player in my room, telling stories to my friends about the songs that I was about to tape over and over again until I created the perfect cassette. Somewhere I still have a few of the tapes, with the voice of another life talking over 90s tunes.

I’m not really into the same music these days. But I do love sharing and discovering new stuff along the way… This song is one of my all time favourites and the whole album is on repeat in our house today.

Listening to Bo rock out in the kitchen singing at the top of her lungs ‘I’d rather go with fwends than go alooooone’ makes me really happy.

If you don’t listen to Kimya Dawson – you should look her up. She rocks… literally.

Did you have a song/album on repeat this week?

PS: Thank you so to whoever you cheeky buggers are that nominated me for the Voices of 2015 festival. Inked in Colour was named top 3 in the Parenting and Style category and I’m very overwhelmed and grateful for the continual support. Thank you.
