“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Bo: It’s a big world baby. There is nothing more amazing for me than to watch you engage with this wild world with such awe and curiosity. You, like every other child on this planet, are destined for greatness.

My favourite portraits this week were all little girls. Little Olive made me laugh, could she be any sweeter? Penny made me sigh that mama sigh… nostalgia and love and calm all in one. And this little beauty, with the wind in her hair, transported me to another place and space in time. I could almost feel the crisp air on my own skin. Beautiful portraits from all around the world, as always.

Bo: She’s always got places to be, this kid.

My favourite portraits this week were those of little siblings, little loves  Lamb and Fox and his little furrowed brow and these two little rays of light. Is there anything like the love of a little brother or sister? One day, some how, some way, I’ll give Bo that love… the love of a sibling.

“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Bo: Finally coming out of the fever haze that kept us trapped in tears and troubles all weekend. Poor sweet, serious girl.

My favourite portraits that brightened the mood this week were these girls, can’t you just hear the laughter?

Bo: She may not speak yet, but those eyes of hers tell a thousand stories.

My favourite portraits from the last week are these beautiful kids. Everly and her dinosaur pijamas, Lily and her upside-down joy, Felix and his little legs… ohhhh the little legs!

“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Bo: on a big wild family holiday in Noosa. Surrounding by people and SO MANY babies… a sea of unfamiliar faces and a world of new friends. Her patient, social and joyful nature has become even more apparent this week. But more than anything, she has made it very clear how much she needs alone time. How much she thrives on moments like this one. Just us two, eating yoghurt in our bathers on the back deck whilst the chaos rains on the other side of the door.

My favourite portraits from the last week were little Harper and her love of ice cream (could anything be sweeter?), The beautiful jumping Elle and the tiniest Wolff, with her head in a jar… So much baby love!
